It's Friday, Friday, looking forward to the Weekend!

My birthday purchases begin as follows:

Yesterday, I received my Stella and Dot purchase that was completed on Monday. I was so happy to see the Purolator medium-sized box knowing that it contained my Casablanca Bib Necklace from last season's collection that I had fallen-in-love-with.

Below are the pictures of when I first opened the box.

I am definitely looking forward to the weekend since it is my Birthday; Another year goes by; Another day I become older; it is simply another day I look the same as I did the day before. I am more excited about this birthday since I have saved up for the Christian Louboutin "Bianca Jazz" Black Patent Leather Pumps and have had difficulty finding my particular size in Canada. I called up my cousin in Houston who is going to help me find the shoes even if they have to come from down South!

Today, I received a white box in the mail from my mom and brother who sent me an early birthday surprise. After the gym, my boyfriend took me to Mapleview Mall located in Burlington, Ontario -same city where Ryan Gosling lives with his mother- to buy Day 1-ish of birthday present shopping. The first store I went into was Sephora which of course I needed to stock up on a couple items and receive my birthday gift for being a Beauty Insider (Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 Duo, value of $22.50). My boyfriend also surprised me with his own purchase and gave me today's present of the Birthday Combo Gift, as he calls it. Apparently I will be receiving a gift per day beginning yesterday with the purchase of my pink earphones that I desperately needed.

Here is a picture which includes my Stella & Dot purchase PLUS all the items I bought today at the mall.
First day birthday shopping haul

Birthday gift from Sephora: Fresh Lip Treatment in original and tinted rose
Nars: Blush in "Madley"
Nars: Lipgloss in "Turkish Delight"
L'Occitane: Hand Cream for dry hands
Urban Decay: Naked 2 Palette, purchase from my boyfriend

I am headed to Yorkdale Mall tomorrow for Day 2 Birthday Shopping... I have a few more items on my list that will hold me for a while -betting that they have my size and style!

Happy Friday Lovelies xoxo

PlanetPit Tour 2012

Ticket for PlantPit Tour 2012

On Wednesday night, I went to the Mr.305's concert with my colleague Damelis. She is so awesome and I thank her once again for joining me that night. Pitbull is known for making people dance to his featured songs and performing to sold out concerts, such as this one.

There were three to four opening acts prior to Pitbull that were local artists but nothing beats the set of songs performed by Flo Rida. The crowd roared when he was announced to come on stage, pumping up the crowd singing his popular songs and taking his shirt off showing his abs. During his set, Flo Rida climbed onto his bouncer's shoulders who walked him through the crowd situated in the General Admission area, up the stairs near where I was standing and all the way back down while never letting go of Flo Rida. This bouncer must be receiving a very BIG compensation especially having done this for the whole second part of "I Got a Good Feeling" song.

After two hours and fifteen minutes waiting for Pitbull to sing, he came on with a bang singing his most recent popular songs as well as his old goodies. My favourite part from the night would have to be moving seats from where I was to joining a friend of Damelis' who was sitting in the reserved lower level. He had two additional tickets and gave them to us so we can enjoy the rest of the concert with a better view.

Enjoy some of the pictures taken on Wednesday night.

Pre-Birthday Shopping

Happy Saturday Lovelies!

I woke up extra early for a Saturday morning and headed towards the Go-Train. My boyfriend decided to accompany me on my mission for a specific pair of Loubies in the city of Toronto. After arriving at Union Station, there was so much noise because construction was taking place for the Younge line between Bloor and Union -not convenient for downtown goers- and luckily we were not headed there.

Getting on the subway definitely made me realize why construction was meant to happen that particular weekend we decided to shop in Toronto. The newer subways put in place by the TTC, are much more advance: all subway trains were connected as "one sole train" where the old subway trains are connected by multiple trains via heavy chains and sliding doors. While seated, it seems as though you are in a long-connected never ending train.

Caption: Traveling on the University line headed towards Yorkdale Mall. See picture (left) to witness the new and improved TTC subway.

Our mission at Yorkdale Mall was to visit two stores: Holt Renfrew and David's in search of Christian Louboutin Black Patent Leather "Bianca" pumps. There are always three to four salespeople huddled together at this Holt Renfrew where they stare at you the whole time you are near the shoes. I asked if they could order the Bianca shoes since I did not notice the pair out for display but the lady told me my name could only go on a waiting list on a first-come first-serve basis. There was no way for me to give them a deposit or pay in full to hold the shoes since they did not operate that way. I then decided to leave and go see if David's had them. David's was another disappointment since they too did not carry the pair I was looking for, but the gentlemen did take my name down in case they were to receive the Biancas in their next shipment.

Bloor Street was next on my list since I knew the Holt Renfrew located there had a bigger selection to choose from. Walking on Bloor Street with my boyfriend reminded me why I love that street so much. Sephora on the corner, passing Mac, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany's and Co., and finally arriving in front of the complimentary Valet service for Holt Renfrew patrons. Next time I will bring the Denali and have them park it at no extra charge!

Simply standing on the escalator as it brings you towards the second floor is mesmerizing. The colouful decorated floor displays are waiting for you to browse through and receive the best customer service this high end store has to offer. Arriving to the shoe department at Holt Renfrew was like a kid in a candy store: very appealing to the eyes. That display not only had Loubies, but other high end brand names such as: Prada, Valentino, Brian Atwood, and it also had a Louboutin catalog for patrons to skim through. Then as I turned to the back of the display, there were the Biancas I have been looking for this morning. Eeekk Yes, I thought, and now hopefully they have my size 38.

Nothing beats the way Francesco treated me at Holt today. He not only came to my aid as I was looking to find a size 38 and not the 39 1/2 they had on display but he also let me look through the pink catalog as he went to the back to see if size 38 could be found. To my dismay, he did not return with a box full of shoes however, he did tell me a size 38 1/2 were available in Vancouver and that they could transfer them in for me to purchase here. The sides of my lips reached each side of my cheekbones as I said "Yes please". I will try them on and hope they fit me when Francesco calls me next week (they are expected to arrive just in time for my birthday).

Here is the link to the exact pair I want but mine will be in Black Patent Leather.

I will definitely post them here when they arrive, cannot wait for my Loubies!!

Summer feeling during Wintery days*

Well sunshines, these days have been beautifully hot, a bit too hot for March to be honest, but nonetheless they have been known as the wonderful "summer days" of the last days of Winter. I left for work this morning with the weather being at 9 degrees Celsius, fog was appearing in the mist sky and I was not wearing a jacket. Greatest feeling. Having moved here from Ottawa was a definite solid choice since we barely had a practical winter this year.

My boyfriend decided to work from home today, finishing up his programming that he is currently working on for a work related project. It looks pretty impressive for those that understand the computer language but it sure has taken up his free time. He works with a team of three gentlemen who are mesmerized by this "new" computer language which has taken months to comprehend with countless of overtime meetings with the Australian team to prove it. Today, was a good day to stay home and work on his programming seeing as how he could simply sit outside, putting in his work hours while getting a tan. Well, he sure got his tan on today because calling him a pink lobster is less than an exaggeration. He is now a little dehydrated and sleeping his sun burn away.

Below is an article that I will leave you with to check out about "brogramming"

YoGuRtY's

Hello Sunshines!

Yes it is such a beautiful day with 21 degrees Celsius - or as my American cousins would say: its 70 degrees! Whichever country you may be presently reading this blog post, this winter has not been a usual one. I am a tad bit congestion from yesterday's soccer game and leaving the windows open all night due to painting - but that won't stop me from heading to the gym in half hour and grabbing some Yogurty's afterwards.

For those that do not have the wonderful pleasure of having a Yogurty's close to home, it is a franchised Toronto created concept of low-calorie fat-free premium frozen yogurt. From their huge number of choices, Yogurty's lets you pile on as much frozen yogurt and toppings as you can hold in a cup and while it is self-service, it is weighed to know what you pay. I know Roxy, I can hear you now - "Jessy take me there!" Come to Canadaland asap and try it out yourself!

Here's a little sneak peak at what I almost finished before remembering to show you:

A Night in Riche Cosmopolitan

I have just woken up an hour past the time I thought it was: daylight savings time began this early morning. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went to a colleague's birthday dinner at Brassaii where even the walk to the restaurant was something pulled out of a fashion runway. We parked the Mrs.D off King Street West in downtown Toronto, walked the two blocks where the purple sign spelled BRASSAI. Turning that corner, you see a stoned pathway leading up to a small opening with a red velour sheet draped over in an 'M' shape for the entrance. Walking up the stairs, the doorman opens the door and you are finally inside greeted by the hostess as she walks us to the table at the back, already set for a party of 10.

The restaurant was packed with birthday celebrations as if we had all agreed to give Brassaii business that particular night. Once the rest of the dinner party arrived, we ordered our entrees and additional drinks: I ordered oysters and Buffalo Mozzarella while my boyfriend ordered the Foie Gras and the Fettucini. Everyone seemed to like what they ordered and I especially loved my oysters, they were delicious, pre-shot and paired well with their signature sauces.

However, I wou ld say that everyone's dinner took almost three hours to arrive at our table - not the best service that night for a high end place. By the time we finished eating, it was roughly 11:15 and we ordered our bills instantly because we were not going to wait an additional three hours just to have dessert. Having a big group delayed our individual meals to be prepped at the same time and also brought to the table at the same time.

Verdict: the place looks classy inside but will probably come on a double date at the very most next time!

S*M*A*S*H

It feels good to just sit down and begin typing away on my Macbook snuggled in my pink bathrobe. I have just arrived home from shopping, sitting cozy and watching last night's episode of Smash on the PVR,  it has become a post-taped event for mamabear and I. This show brings out the best of New York City and why I love musicals so much. Katherine McPhee's character, Karen, is simply enchanting every time she begins to sing which is especially demonstrated in this episode where her sexy number might have some men drooling through the television screens. The "Let's be Bad" episode flashbacks to a Marilyn Monroe event portraying how drugs were so eminently present even while she was on set filming. Karen shows her "bad" and sexy side at a government party she attends with her boyfriend, however due to a last minute sitting arrangement, she finds herself with a potential favour she might want to cash in the near future.

Below: check out how Katherine McPhee puts her heels on while on camera. I could learn a thing for this weekend. (Photo credit: )

Committing to Resolutions

Ever notice how packed fitness facilities become on the first week of January? Every year, the human population's most common resolution is going to the gym and getting fit for that New Year - chances are, the majority do not last past the second week of January. Since going to see my mother in Ottawa this past Christmas, I have been going to LA Fitness predominantly for their fitness classes and the only reason why I signed up for a membership. This past month, I have been going 4-6 times to the gym with a day of soccer games included in my routine. I am supposed to be headed out the door right now but have decided to finish this post prior to -in case I decide to take a bubble bath after tonight's kickboxing class. Here's to another 6 day week at LA Fitness!

Perhaps, I will see you tonight lovelies!

The Best of Lush

I will begin my first post by raving about some products that were recommended to me by a few Youtube gurus and Lush fanatics. During wintery seasons, my body tends to take a beating on maintaining natural moister and hydration thus is why I have resorted to a brand I once felt the store-smell to be a little to much to handle. The three areas I need most work on are my chapped lips, elbows and knees. The additional item at the bottom was a bonus for me.

Sweet Lips: Chocolate and Vanilla sugar scrub (edible)
The gentlemen at the Lush store allowed me to try all the products but once I placed sweet lips on my lips, I was told I could lick off the product soon after. Not only was I shocked to hear this but that it actually tasted good. This will not be a regular thing to do as digesting products to help the body regain moisture is not a natural thing to do.

Ro's Argan Body Conditioner
After my yoga class, I took a shower wanting to try out this product. I used Ro's Argan after exfoliating and having shaved my legs so that my body can be conditioned by this new found product. Leaving the product throughout my body for 7-10 minutes, I then rinsed off as it is indicated in the directions. Not only has it been 5 hours after showering but the Rose-scented-Argan oil conditioner is still prominent. I am very please and am looking forward to a hydrated body these few more months of "winter".

Lovely Jubblies:
I will tell you a bit about this product and will come back with a 4-6 weeks report on results as readers will be intrigued after the post. As the website says, this is a cream for your lovely décolletage area releasing tightening meadowsweet infusion with firming power for your girls to help fight the forces of gravity!

Facing your inner best can be a challenge that one might not be ready to fight. With a little help, you can gain strength, knowledge, and courage to Face the Best life you ought to have!

I am living the Best Life for Me and have no doubt it is what it's meant to be!

xo Lovelies!
