Birthdays only come once a year but for me,
it is a perfect excuse to stretch it out as much as I can and to use all the
discounts and benefits of that special day. Earlier this month, I celebrated my
birthday which began on the Friday before and continued
until a week later. The day began with a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers
given to me by a wonderful friend see picture below and small get together at my house with
a few people. We finished the evening with a wonderful night of appetizers and dancing
at Ivy Bar + Kitchen with a great group of friends. Highly recommend this restaurant as they treated us well.

The following weekend, I went to the USA
for some much needed retail therapy and I had to use my birthday
discounts as they only come once a year. My first stop was Sephora and yes I
stocked up! I try to wait for a good deal to buy makeup and skincare in bulk at an
American Sephora as the prices are so much better than in Canada. I made a video
showing all the products I purchased plus included additional pictures of my birthday week which you can watch down below.
